Round Is Best
Any fuel tank on the market utilizing the square design suffers from a major design flaw. During transport, fuel surges forward and back and from side to side. This behavior stresses the 90˚ welds and distends the flat surfaces inherent in the square design.
The superior round design minimizes this effect by allowing the fuel to roll up the edges thereby distributing the stress evenly around the tank and increases the safety of the tank during transport. For this reason fuel distributors around the world use the round tank design for all 18-wheel fuel tankers.
Baffle System
Our tanks are baffled to slow the movement of fuel when traveling. Not only do we use heavy-duty steel we also bend each end of the baffle to stiffen and give strength to stand the test of time. Our DT 475 and DOT 500 use single baffle systems while the DT 975 and DOT 990 have dual baffle systems for added strength and safety. The combination of dish ends and our superior baffle system give you the safest diesel fuel trailer you can find.
Low Profile
Low profile trailers are not visible while backing and this could create a safety concern. Lee fuel trailers stand high enough behind your vehicle to see while you are backing your vehicle.
Powder Coating
All of our products are blasted and powder coated making our products last a lifetime. The parts to be coated are positively grounded, so that the charged particles adhere to them until melted and fused into a solid coating in a curing oven. The result: a sleek, strong, high-quality finish.
