The Diesel-Powered Spider vs the Spider Classic
What Makes Each Spider Stand Out?
Both Spider models are designed with a variety of crops and terrains in mind. These high-clearance sprayers are equipped with a hydrostatic drive system where each tire is individually powered by hydraulics. Additionally, the articulated steering and oscillating chassis enhance maneuverability in difficult terrain.
The diesel-powered Spider is designed for demanding spraying conditions, featuring a robust 48HP diesel engine. It stands out with higher crop clearance and the option for hydraulic-driven centrifugal pumps, making it ideal for larger operations. With a top speed of 11 mph, it outpaces the Spider Classic, and its 14-gallon fuel capacity allows for more extended operation between refuels.
On the other hand, the Spider Classic features a 20HP gasoline engine, offering a cost-effective solution tailored for smaller-scale farming operations. The fuel capacity is 12 gallons, only 2 gallons less than the diesel-powered Spider. The Spider Classic’s lightweight design and gasoline power make it an excellent choice for easily navigating tight crop rows with the a top speed of 8 mph. You can select between single and dual cone configurations when customizing their Spider CL.
